HOW TO MAINTAIN

1. Ventilating keeps the fibers fresh

Wool is a natural material that breathes. Because sheep graze outside their entire lives, a new rug may emit a slight odor. That odor will disappear on its own, but fresh air helps. Regularly open a window in the room where the rug is located, preferably on a dry day. This allows the wool to breathe without having to move the rug.

2. Vacuuming without rushing prevents lint

The first few weeks, loose fibers may come off. This is normal with wool and not a sign of wear. By vacuuming gently without a rotating brush and in the direction of the fibers, remains it surface smooth and clean. Wool naturally repels dirt, causing dust to often remain on the surface.

3. Rotate the rug 180 degrees

Light exposure and furniture can cause slight marks over time. By occasionally rotating your rug 180 degrees, for example when changing seasons, you distribute those influences evenly. This keeps the appearance balanced and extends the lifespan.

4. Sometimes a professional cleaning helps

Has the rug been heavily used or has a stubborn stain appeared? Then a specialized cleaning can provide a solution. Choose a professional with experience in natural materials, so that the wool is thoroughly and carefully treated, without aggressive products or techniques.

HOW TO CLEAN

Step 1: Dab with a wet cloth

First take a cloth and wet this with tepid water. Add a drop of strongly diluted shampoo if desired. Dep careful use your cloth on the Wool rug to remove the stain. Under no circumstances should you ever rub. This causes you to spread and push the stain into the fibers of the carpet. Continue for 1 minute dab until the stain is completely gone.

Step 2: Lukewarm water with vinegar

Have you removed most of it by dabbing? Now use lukewarm water and add one splash of cleaning vinegar again. Once again, you need to be careful with your dosages. Do not make your cloth soaking wet but make it damp and dab again over the stain until it is completely gone.

Avoid at all times strong chemical products or bleaches, because they can discolor your rug. The stain might be gone, but in its place, you get a light spot that permanently damages your carpet.

Step 3: Let it dry for a moment

Finally, dab away the remaining moisture with a dry cloth and let your Wool rug dry for a while.
