In 2017, Singapore-based Dazingfeelsgood participated in the Bolia Design Awards. The young designers had a dream of crafting a piece of furniture whose beauty lies in its irregularities. The result of their efforts was Latch - a sculptural series of coffee tables made from FSC™-certified solid oak, featuring an array of contours and where the diameter of each component is unique. The design is simple yet experimental at the same time.

Nature’s material — unique, living, and ever-changing.
Every piece of solid wood has its own character, with grain variations and small knots that are part of its natural beauty, not defects. Wood responds to light, humidity, and temperature — which means it changes slightly over time, developing its own patina.
Care & Maintenance
Avoid direct sunlight and do not leave objects (vases, placemats, etc.) in the same place for long periods — this can cause uneven discoloration.
Never place hot items directly on the surface; always use coasters or mats.
Wipe spills immediately, as liquids can stain or cause the wood to swell.
Keep furniture in a room with a temperature of 18–21°C and humidity between 45–55% to prevent cracks or warping.
Avoid heat sources such as radiators or fireplaces.
Cleaning
Wipe with a damp, wrung-out cloth, then dry with a clean cloth.
Avoid harsh detergents or solvents.
Your furniture is oil-treated — re-oil it before first use, again after 3–4 weeks, and then 2–3 times per year, depending on wear.
When oiling, treat both sides to maintain balance in the wood.
If the surface feels rough after oiling, lightly sand with 220-grit sandpaper along the grain.
Minor Repairs
Small scratches: sand gently with 180–220 grit, then re-oil.
Stains: clean with mild wood cleaner, sand if needed, and re-oil.
Pressure marks: lightly steam with a damp cloth and warm iron (never directly on the wood), then sand and re-oil.
